Michael Giberson

Bio

Michael Giberson is an associate professor of practice in business economics with the Energy, Economics, and Law unit at Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business. His research interests include energy policy, regulation and competition in electric power markets, and the law and economics of price gouging. At Texas Tech he has taught courses in business economics, energy economics, and U.S. energy policy and regulation. Before joining the Tech faculty in 2008, he was an economist with Potomac Economics, Ltd., a consulting group specializing in wholesale electric power markets. He received his PhD in Economics from George Mason University.
