Bio

Max Ghenis is a policy advocate and co-founder of PolicyEngine, a nonprofit that develops software to calculate the impact of public policy. He is also the founder and president of the UBI Center, which advocates for universal basic income policies. Prior to his current roles, Max worked as a data scientist at Google. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Operations Research and Management Science from UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from MIT. In addition to his professional work, Max is an active volunteer with several organizations including Ventura County YIMBY, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, and Save the Gas Tax. He is committed to advocating for policy solutions that address pressing societal issues such as the housing crisis and climate change.
