Bio

Dr. Kathleen M. Sheehan is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Heider College of Business at Creighton University. She earned a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Capital University and completed her MA and PhD in Economics at West Virginia University.

Her primary fields of research are in the areas of Institutional Analysis and Public Economics. In her research, Dr. Sheehan explores the determinants of economic institutions and examines the impact of regulations on economic growth and human flourishing. She has published in many academic outlets including Contemporary Economic Policy and the European Journal of Political Economy. Dr. Sheehan is a Senior Research Fellow at the Fraser Institute and a Scholar in the Institute for Economic Inquiry at Creighton University.
