Bio

Currently, Mr. Goff is Founder of GJG Energy, a newly formed company focused on creating businesses in the changing energy sector; Founder and President of GJG Development, a real estate development company and Executive Director of the GGoff Foundation.

Mr. Goff retired as the executive vice chairman of Marathon Petroleum Corporation and executive vice chairman of Marathon Logistics LP, on December 31, 2019.

Prior to joining Marathon Petroleum in October 2018 as a result of the strategic combination of Andeavor and Marathon, Mr. Goff was chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Andeavor and chairman and chief executive officer of the general partner for Andeavor Logistics LP.

Before joining Andeavor in 2010, Mr. Goff worked for ConocoPhillips where he held a number of senior leadership positions including senior vice president Commercial from 2008 to 2010; president Specialty Business and Business Development from 2006 to 2008; president Lower 48, Gulf of Mexico and South America for Exploration and Production from 2004 to 2006; president International Downstream (based in London, England) from 2002 to 2004; chairman and managing director Conoco Limited (based in Warwick, England) 2000 to 2002; managing director and chief executive officer for Conoco JET Nordic (based in Stockholm, Sweden) from 1998 to 2000 and a number of positions in the company’s supply, trading and logistics operations. He has extensive experience in the international energy business across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.

Mr. Goff served as chairman of the board for the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM); served on the American Petroleum Institutes (API’s) Upstream and Downstream Committees; on the Board of Directors of Marathon Petroleum Corporation; Marathon Logistics, LP; ChevronPhillips Chemical Company; Enbridge; and DCP Midstream. He is currently a member of the board of directors of ExxonMobil and Avient. He serves on the National Advisory Board for the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business; chairman of the advisory board of the National Society for High School Scholars and is the Founder of the Goff Strategic Leadership Center at the University of Utah. The Goff Strategic Leadership Center provides experiential learning opportunities in strategic leadership for undergraduate students at the University of Utah.

Mr. Goff earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Utah.
