Bio

Frank Stephenson is a contributing scholar with the CGO. He is the Henry Gund Professor of Economics and serves as the chair of the Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance. His scholarly endeavors and pedagogical passions revolve around the realms of sports economics and public policy. He boasts an impressive publication record, with contributions gracing the pages of prominent journals such as Economic Inquiry, Public Choice, Journal of Sports Economics, and Journal of Monetary Economics. As a testament to his leadership, he presently assumes the role of editor for the Journal of Economics and Finance Education.

He has a Ph.D. in Economics from North Carolina State University and a B.A. in Economics from Washington and Lee University. Professor Stephenson’s commitment extends to educating future minds, as he teaches courses in Economic Analysis of Law and Sports Economics. His research interests include Public Policy and Sports Economics.
