Ed Rubin

Bio

Ed Rubin is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Oregon. His main research interests include the economics of the environment, energy, and natural resources; inequality; health; and development. He is also interested in rural communities, drug/criminal policies, and general empirical policy analysis/data science (econometrics, statistics, machine learning, spatial analysis, etc.).

Ed also started TWEEDS—The Workshop in Environmental Economics and Data Science—with help from some friends and also helps run OSWEET, an online workshop where graduate students and early-career faculty can present their work on environmental, energy, and transportation economics (and receive constructive feedback).
