Joanna Szurmak

Bio
Joanna Szurmak is a Ph.D. candidate in the Science and Technology Studies program at York University in Toronto and a research librarian at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
She has earned graduate degrees in electrical engineering and information studies from the University of Toronto and has worked in research labs, the telecommunications industry, and university libraries in the United States and Canada.
Szurmak is the co-author of the 2018-2019 Donner Prize short-listed book Population Bombed! Exploding the Link Between Overpopulation and Climate Change (2018) and has authored academic and popular publications.
