Shawn Regan
Bio
Shawn Regan currently serves as the Vice President of Research at PERC (Property and Environment Research Center) and holds the role of Executive Editor for PERC Reports magazine. His research and writings have been featured in various academic journals, including Science, Natural Resources Journal, and the Utah Law Review. In addition to scholarly publications, he frequently contributes to popular media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Outside, Los Angeles Times, High Country News, National Review, Reason, Grist, and Quartz.
Shawn has provided testimony before both houses of Congress and has been a guest on national radio programs like NPR’s “On Point” and American Public Media’s “Marketplace Morning Report.” His academic background includes an M.S. in Applied Economics from Montana State University, along with degrees in economics and environmental science from Berry College. Notably, he has previous experience as a backcountry ranger for the National Park Service.
