Aryanna Hyde is a political science PhD student at the University of Missouri studying migration within the subfields of comparative politics and international relations. Her research focuses on perceptions around migrants and the migrant experience with identity and democracy, particularly in the Middle East. Her dissertation examines how interpersonal connections (“vitamin wow”) influence migrant integration in Jordan. She teaches courses including the Politics of the Middle East and Political Science Research Methods.
