Andrew Hutchens is a 5th Year Economics PhD candidate at North Carolina State University and affiliated with the Center for Environmental and Resource Economic Policy (CEnREP). His research focuses on the intersection of Energy Economics, Industrial Organization, Environmental & Resource Economics, and Transportation Economics. Hutchens aims to address the economic dimensions of environmental challenges, advocating for sustainable energy policies, efficient resource management, and the reduction of environmental degradation through his work. His academic endeavors contribute to a deeper understanding of how economic principles can be applied to environmental and resource stewardship, particularly in the areas of energy supply and demand, market structures, and sustainable transportation systems.
