Bio

Alex Tabarrok holds the Bartley J. Madden Chair in Economics at the Mercatus Center and is a professor of economics at George Mason University. Tabarrok is also a research fellow with the Mercatus Center.

Tabarrok is also the co-founder (with Tyler Cowen) of Marginal Revolution University: An Online Platform for Learning Economics and the author or editor of a number of books including the introductory economics textbooks, Modern Principles.

Tabarrok’s research interests include empirical law and economics (crime, tort reform, bounty hunters, judicial electoral systems etc.), voting theory and alternative political institutions, health economics and more.
