Abigail Houseal

Abigail (Abbey) Houseal is an Research Manager at the Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University. Her primary focus is the impact of state and federal policies on human rights and economic development. 

Prior to her current role, Abbey was an M.A. Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, where she researched and published on urban economics. She received a Master’s in Economics from George Mason University in 2023. Abbey is originally from Delaware and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Belmont Abbey College with a double major in economics and business management. She lives in the Washington, DC area and spends her free time playing soccer and exploring the trails around the city.
