Center For Growth and Opportunity Welcomes William Rinehart

The Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University is delighted to welcome William Rinehart as a Senior Research Fellow. He brings years of expertise in policy research and will be managing CGO’s portfolio of technology policy research.

“Will’s addition is going to help take our research to the next level,” said Christopher Koopman, Executive Director at the Center for Growth and Opportunity. “Having him based in our new DC office will ensure that the CGO will have a constant presence in today’s most pressing policy conversation.”

Will’s research will focus on telecommunication, Internet, and data policy, with a focus on emerging technologies and innovation. His work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Wired, Morning ConsultThe Hill, Forbes, Reason, Marginal Revolution, Overlawyered, and on BBC Radio and NPR.

“While it is still a young organization, the Center for Growth and Opportunity is clearly committed and capable of making a positive difference,” Rinehart said. “CGO has brought together some of the sharpest people in policy, so I’m excited to build CGO’s portfolio in tech and innovation policy. ”

Before joining the CGO, Rinehart was formerly the Director of Technology and Innovation Policy at the American Action Forum and before that a Research Fellow at TechFreedom and the Director of Operations at the International Center for Law & Economics.
